Registration Opens for SF State Student Research Competition

Each spring semester, the San Francisco State University Research Competition provides an opportunity for both graduate and undergraduate students to present their outstanding research projects and creative works in a formal academic competition. Participating in the research competition is an excellent way for students to gain experience communicating their research at conferences and symposia and to enhance their resume or curriculum vitae.

The university selects up to ten campus winners to compete in the CSU-wide competition held in spring. The competition recognizes outstanding accomplishments of student researchers from among all 23 CSU campuses.

San Francisco State University Research Competition

Event Dates: February 28 - March 4, 2022

Registration Closes: February 11, 2022

Eligibility: Current undergraduate and graduate students. Recent graduates from the Spring, Summer, or Fall 2021 semesters.

CSU Student Research Competition

Event Dates: April 29 & April 30, 2022

Registration Closes: March 18, 2022

Eligibility: San Francisco State University Research Competition winner.
