BECA MA Alum Hired by SF Chronicle as Giants Beat Reporter

Shayna Rubin was recently hired by the SF Chronicle as their Giants Beat Reporter. As the Giants Beat Reporter, Shayna covers all aspects of the San Francisco baseball team, including player reports, trade deals, and game matchups.

Shayna received her B.A. in Journalism (’14) and her M.A. in Broadcast & Electronic Communication Arts (’17). Reporting on the Giants is a dream job for Shayna.

Shayna got her start as Sports Writer for SFBay covering the Gaints and went on to work for Pac-12 Networks, The Athletic, and Bay Area News Group before working for SF Chronicle.

The BECA department extends their congratulations to Shayna and wishes her all the best in the new position.
