Rajeev S. Naidu, Ed.D., is an accomplished audio engineer with extensive expertise in recording, mixing, post-production, and live sound. His career spans significant contributions to both higher education and the entertainment industries. A professional member of the Recording Academy/GRAMMYs, he spent six years at the Grammy Award-winning company EDnet (Entertainment Digital Network), where he collaborated with esteemed media organizations such as Sony, Pixar, Disney, DreamWorks, and Skywalker Sound.
For over a decade, Dr. Naidu has been a live sound engineer at SF Live Arts, where he has worked with Emmy and Grammy Award-winning artists, including Joan Baez, Molly Tuttle, and Ramblin' Jack Elliott. He also serves as a board member for the organization, contributing to its mission of promoting live music and the arts.
With original music productions that have reached #13 on the Billboard All Genres chart, Dr. Naidu's work in recording, mixing, and production has garnered over 2.7 million streams as of 2025. These achievements reflect his substantial impact and recognition within the audio industry.
Holding a Master of Arts (M.A.) and a Doctorate of Education (Ed.D.), Dr. Naidu has served as a faculty member at multiple higher education institutions. At San Francisco State University, he contributes to the Emmy Award-winning Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts (BECA) department, where he is dedicated to advancing the field of audio engineering through education and mentorship.
Dr. Naidu earned his Doctorate of Education from the University of San Francisco, specializing in Learning & Instruction. His scholarly work focuses on psychoacoustics and the semiotics of sound, with research presented at both national and international academic conferences. His doctoral dissertation examined the role of deliberate practice and self-regulated learning in the development of advanced audio engineering skills, providing critical insights into effective pedagogical strategies for audio education.
