Professor Drennan teaches courses in scriptwriting for television, web series, and short-format audio and video, with a specialty in sitcoms and satire; writing for interactive media and videogames; and media theory/critical study of popular culture with a focus on the theories of Marx, Gramsci, and Adorno.

She is an advisor for the BECA Department and also for the Minor in Video Games Studies.

She holds an M.A. in Radio and Television, an M.A. in English with a concentration in Creative Writing, and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing, all from San Francisco State University.

Her interests include old-school RPGs (playing D&D since 1976!), utopias and dystopias, tarot cards, anarchist theory, labor organization and unions, and her three best imaginary friends: Dwight Schrute, Moira Rose, and Lucille Bluth.
