Post-Election Support Services and Resources

Monday, November 02, 2020

As we approach the 2020 Presidential Election, we would like to share some resources and additional support services available to any students who may need support following election night results.

Certainly, 2020 has been a challenging year for many people, but that especially is true for our students. We encourage everyone to pay attention to how they feel and how they prepare for any anticipated or unanticipated transition and seek support when necessary. Political discourse, especially this year, can be challenging to navigate and compounded with the circumstances surrounding the pandemic, learning remotely, and having limited social support systems. During this particularly challenging political atmosphere, we want to remind students the University is here for them.

In coordination between the Dean of Students Office, Dean-On-Call Program, and Counseling and Psychological Services, additional Dean-On-Call drop-in and counseling support services will be available to students between November 4th – 6th.
