Michelle Kennedy is a multimedia journalist, actress, host, and nonfiction writer. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Radio and Television from BECA and has more than eleven years of experience working as a television news reporter and anchor.
Most recently, Kennedy worked at KRON 4 in San Francisco where she shot, wrote, edited, and presented stories live for multiple newscasts. Before KRON, she reported and anchored at KTXL in Sacramento, KNVN in Chico, and KIDK in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Throughout her career in news, Kennedy covered the disappearance and murder of Laci Peterson, hostage standoffs, high-speed chases, professional sporting events, the tiger attacks at the San Francisco Zoo, and the elections of Governor Schwarzenegger and President Obama. She’s interviewed celebrities and professional athletes and jumped out of an airplane once on assignment. Kennedy’s favorite assignments involved regular people telling their own extraordinary stories.
Michelle Kennedy is a regular contributor to HuffPost and The Elephant Journal. She published her first book, Don't Pee in the Wetsuit, in 2016. Her writing is focused around love, attachment, travel, body image, age, and dealing with loss. A member of the Screen Actors Guild, Kennedy starred in Episode 3, of Season 2, of TNT’s Murder in the First in 2015.
