If you would like to change your major to Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts (BECA), you will need to complete the following steps:
Complete BECA 200, BECA 300, and BECA 340 with a grade of C or better.
Bring (1) an unofficial transcript, (2) the ORANGE BECA Graduation Checklist/Equivalency and Department Permission Form, and (3) the University Request for Change of Undergraduate Primary Major to a BECA faculty advisor. The Orange form must be signed and approved by a faculty advisor and then brought to the BECA office. Fill out the correct Change of Major form; Include your SF State ID Number, contact info and the Catalog (Bulletin) year you started at SF State.
Submit the ORANGE BECA Graduation Checklist/Equivalency and Department Permission Form and the Change of Major Request to the BECA department office front desk in CA 133. The department chair will sign the Change of Major Request and leave the form for you to pick up at the front desk. Keep the original copy of the ORANGE BECA Graduation Checklist/Equivalency and Department Permission Form for future advising sessions.
Deliver the signed Change of Major Request to the Registar's Office. Once the change of major has been processed by the Registrar, Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts will be displayed as your primary major in your MySFSU account.
* BECA 200 may be transferred from a community college.
